20wmgx2 manual

Overall Review: This monitor may be a bit expensive but I guarantee that you wont be disappointed with this monitor. You truely do get what you pay for! I heard all these stories about ghosting, dead pixels, backlight bleeding etc I looked at all the monitors in various small and large consumer stores before I ordered this an wow what a difference.

The colors, the brightness, the whites and blacks-- just about everything about this LCD is spectacular. The best thing about this monitor is that it's fast; I dont notice any ghosting playing games because the monitor is 6ms which is really really good for an S-IPS panel most have 12ms and upwards. People who are weary about the gloss should think otherwise.

I don't even notice it unless the monitor is completely off. Cons: I havent looked at everything yet but I noticed at some extreme close angles theres some gold effect hard to explain but imagine backlight bleeding but its a slight gold color. Its not bothersome because I only see it when the screen is black. Also, I haven't tried many games out but you may need to put V-sync on but that doesn't affect anything so it's nothing to worry about.

The money you pay for is guaranteed to be a good investment. You can compare this monitor to a cheap, inexpensive TN panel and you'll see the difference in worth. You definitely get what you pay for Considering it was double the cost when it was released. This LCD is now out of production and its the last of its kind. There are no more good consumer S-IPS panels except for the really expensive Apple monitors or the Dell monitors that have a panel lottery look it up if you want to learn more.

Pros: Super sharp IPS panel. Color is brilliant without being over-saturated like a lot of the newer monitors. I love the glossy finish on the screen opitclear. All the matte finish monitors look twinkley by comparison. The consistency of color and contrast with respect to viewing angles cannot be beat on this display. Cons: This monitor has no height adjustment. Reconnect the unit to the power source and turn on the power.

No dead pixels, backlight bleed, unusual image persistance or input lag on my unit. Sharp text. Very even color and lighting across the panel unlike the 24" panels I looked at.

Presets for different applications are useful, but oddly it's Standard mode that has no color banding I'd expect Photo mode to have the widest gamut. Terrific build quality all around, though the remote is a little flimsy as noted elsewhere. Speakers are acceptable for general purpose. Photoshop and video editors will rejoice at a decent LCD monitor at this price point. Cons: Price will deter many, and that's a shame. Roll your pennies and return your soda bottles for this one.

Granted, such high quality may be overkill for some applications general office work, for example. Doesn't come in all-black, but the silver finish is fairly attractive. Overall Review: I shopped for a monitor for a ridiculously long time and I finally pulled the trigger on this one.

I'm glad my research paid off. My main concern was the color gamut I do a lot of Photoshop , and there is conflicting info about this monitor on the net. Newegg says "more than 16 million" colors, some reviews say "8 bit panel" which translates to The internal electronics and not just the panel have a lot to do with gamut also, while the specs don't always translate into real world performance. I've found no clear answer, but I will say that this has the best color depth I've ever seen in an LCD and good black levels too some reviews mention the black levels are inferior to the PVA panels, but I can't see a difference and I'm very picky.

Pros: Aesthetically pleasing once you take off the ugly and pointless speaker bar , very sharp and bright picture, glossy coating makes everything much more vibrant. Cons: None. Some people put "price" as a negative in their review, but you get what you pay for. Mine shipped with one dead pixel; contemplating a return. Joined Jan 17, Messages Joined Jan 1, Messages 2, Does the relatively slow response time compared with most TN panels of the NEC monitor show itself much in fast-paced shooters? I want this display, for gaming only , but the response time is putting me off Relatively slow??

It is 6 ms. That is all of 4ms slower then the fastest TN panel out there. Not to mention if you check out the reviews for it performs as well as most 2ms panels Not sure if that means the NEC was under speced or if the 2ms panels were over speced but either way i have not seen anyone having any issues with teh response time. I recently had some problems with a Vista generic PnP driver and my old Dell FP, so I was wondering if either of these monitors work well with Vista or if I really should wait awhile.
