A usb mouse does not work either. I have uninstalled the mousepad synaptic from the device manager as well as the HP Quick Launch and reinstalled to verify proper driver installation. I have looked through the device manager to see if there was another device that may have been installed that is running the touchpad e.
The built in support for fixing hardware problems could find no problem to fix. That was fixed with a reinstall of the software from HP's driver site for my laptop. Still stuck using the keyboard to navigate. In the meantime I'm stuck using my old xp work laptop for general use.
